The tables are inspired by a trip to Costa Rica. Peering at the rainforest floor from a walkway in the treetops, we were awed by the beautiful patterns and textures created by the flora below. The tangled web of plants turn into radial patterns and spirals as the ferns and trees reached far for the light.
This experience became the inspiration for a series of glass and forged metal tables containing layers that allow the viewer to focus on different levels of detail, from the overall pattern down to the veining of a leaf. The table incorporate and transform natural images into compositions of form and light, bringing the beauty of nature into our interior space.
